It's Out Vet100 - Meet the Inspiring Veteran Entrepreneurs Behind the Vet100 List

Diverse women veteran entrepreneurs celebrating at the Veteran EDGE conference.

Celebrating the Spirit of Veteran Entrepreneurs

Each year, the prestigious Vet100 list celebrates outstanding veteran-owned businesses recognized for their phenomenal growth. It is exciting to see military entrepreneurs soar, reflecting their resilience, leadership, and unique approach to business. This year’s list, compiled by Inc.com in collaboration with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF), honors the top 100 veteran companies that have demonstrated remarkable revenue growth..

The Impact of Military Experience on Entrepreneurship

Veteran-owned businesses have a significant impact on the economy. As Dr. Mike Haynie, Vice Chancellor of Syracuse University and founder of IVMF, notes, “Veteran entrepreneurs are a critical component of the small business landscape.” This year, remarkable businesses have made the list, showing that military training instills valuable skills that aid in scaling companies effectively.

Meet the Stars of Vet100

The Vet100 list features a wide range of exceptional entrepreneurs, including Anthony Lee, an Air Force veteran and founder of Zap Mortgage, and Liseth Velez, an Army and Air Force veteran who leads LJV Development, LLC. These individuals not only excel in their fields, but they also serve as beacons of hope and inspiration within their communities.

Zap Mortgage is a mortgage lender that prioritizes customer relationships and operates with a commitment to community service. Anthony is on the lookout for experienced Loan Advisors to join his mission of customer-driven service. On the other hand, Liseth’s company stands out for its focus on safety and quality in the construction sector, seeking collaborations to enhance service delivery.

A Growing Community of Veteran Women Entrepreneurs

The 2023 Vet100 includes a notable increase in women-owned businesses, highlighting the strides being made in a historically male-dominated industry. Among them is LaunchTech LLC, founded by Air Force veteran Venus Quates. Dedication to innovation and excellence characterize her approach to business, and she is currently exploring partnerships to expand her reach.

Networking and Community at the Veteran EDGE Conference

To honor these achievements, the IVMF will host a celebratory dinner during the upcoming Veteran EDGE Conference in Dallas, TX, on March 19-21. This event not only recognizes the accomplishments of the Vet100 members but also provides a networking platform for veteran entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate, and support each other’s growth. With an impressive average growth rate of 2,427% reported by Vet100 companies, the conference promises to be instrumental in fostering future opportunities.

Join the Valor in Action Movement

As we celebrate the profound impact of veteran entrepreneurs, it's essential to consider how we can support this movement. Engaging with these businesses or joining the conversation at the Veteran EDGE conference is an excellent way to honor their stories and contribute to their missions. Opportunities for collaboration are abundant, and your involvement could make a significant difference!
